Add complimentary up sells and cross sells on your thankyou / download pages.
When your customer arrives at your download pages after a purchase there’s solid evidence to say he or she will still be in a buying mood.
Make sure you have another offer on this page because you can easily pick up additional sales with only the tiniest amount of effort.
Here’s An Example:
Adding a link to a second offer in an upgrade ‘welcome’ email generated an extra $13 147.31 in pure profit on just one web site.
Then by adding in a 2nd cross sell (in Feb 2007) that total was increased by an extra $500 in commissions against a recommended product. Think about it – These secondary promotions offered new members (customers) with a tempting saving – They get a great deal and we add extra profit to our yearly income as a result
If these stats continue (and there’s absolutely no reason why they won’t) we’ll add $5,000 – $10,000 in extra profit this year to our business.
