Chapter 1 – Introduction
When my husband left me with two small kids, I was in shock for about a month. I had no idea what I was going to do. I married my husband out of high school and had kids right away. I never really worked except at menial type jobs but I knew that those jobs wouldn’t support my kids.
I was thinking about applying for public aid when a friend suggested that I go into business with her doing pole dancing parties. “No way,” I said, thinking that this was stripping.
“No! Pole dancing parties are for women!” She explained. She then went on to tell me that pole dancing parties were the hottest craze in exercise parties for women. That this was a way for women to not only get together for a girl’s night out, but also to learn how to exercise, do some dancing and even learn erotic pole dancing. There was no nudity involved at all – it was all about being fun and acting sexy.
